Overview:

The assembler is responsible for assemble, inspect, and troubleshoot products and sub-components using hand tools and power tools.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Inspects parts to assure they are clean and free of contaminates. Remove visible dirt, grit oil, grease and other foreign matter from valve product parts, prior to assembly.
  • Reviews and verifies work/sales order to customer requirements.
  • Verify parts per bill of material and drawings. Assemble parts in proper sequence, as specified in the drawings or method specifications.
  • Assembles components to applicable procedures using lubricants, power tools, torques wrenches, specialty tools, etc.
  • Creates and attaches nameplates.
  • Performs all duties in a safe manner and keeps all employees aware of dangers in work area. Practices good housekeeping in work area. Utilizes & abides by ISO/API and Safety Procedures.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent work experience (1 year).
  • Well organized and able to work minimal supervision
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to operate required equipment necessary for task at hand

  • Pulling/pushing, bending, standing, sitting, and walking are all encountered throughout the workday
  • Lifting requirement of 45 pounds

  • Prior experience with applicable workmanship standards is a plus.
