Seeking a Groundsman with experience to assist the Grounds supervisor in grounds operations of this 954-garden style condominium community located in Bethesda, MD.

Responsibilities Include:

1. Maintaining High Level of Customer Service

· Handling all customer service inquiries with courtesy, professionalism and efficiency

· Working collaboratively with all departments toward common goals

2. Grounds Maintenance

· Assist in maintaining landscape and annual flower beds.

· Assist in installation of new landscapes and special planting projects

· Assist in pruning of trees and bushes

· Watering plants and new trees

· Use of gardening tools to weed, mulch, plant flowers, trees and bushes

· Assist in equipment maintenance of lawn care equipment and hand tools

· Remove discarded items from storage and laundry rooms

· Clearing trash and litter from sidewalks, parking lots and grounds

· Inclement weather to include snow/ice clearing and major rain events that require grounds cleanup

· Comply with safe work practices

3. Assist the General Manager and Grounds Supervisor in Management of Grounds as Needed

Skills and Knowledge Requirements for the Position:

  1. Minimum 2 years' experience in the use of materials, equipment and plants utilized in maintenance of landscape

  2. Minimum 1 years' experience in operating trucks, tractors, front end loader, backpack blower, and related power equipment

  3. Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills

  4. Excellent customer service skills

  5. Proficiency in computer skills

  6. Safe work practices

  7. Valid driver's license to operate Parkside Condominium Vehicles

Physical and Mental Requirements for the Position: Sufficient physical ability to perform moderate or heavy lifting and carrying, walking or standing for prolonged periods of time; operating a motor vehicle; sufficient vision ability to see in the normal visual range with or without correction; vision sufficient to read computer screens and printed documents; hearing in the normal audio range with or without correction; sufficient speech recognition and clarity, including ability to understand speech of customers and co-workers and ability to speak clearly to be understood by customers and co-workers.

Pay: $ $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
