Job Summary

We are seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused Parts Counter Associate to join our team. In this role, you will serve as a key point of contact for customers and technicians, providing expert assistance in parts selection, inventory management, and sales. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, diesel truck knowledge, and organizational abilities to ensure efficient operations and exceptional customer service. Duties

  • Assist customers and technicians in identifying and selecting the correct parts using inventory management systems and POS software
  • Manage inventory control, stock replenishment, and order fulfillment to maintain optimal stock levels
  • Utilize our dealer portal for parts breakdowns, recall information and parts ordering
  • Handle cashiering responsibilities including cash handling, sales processing, and phone etiquette
  • Maintain accurate records of sales transactions and customer interactions
  • Support marketing efforts by promoting parts specials and services to customers
  • Ensure the cleanliness, organization, and proper stocking of parts in the warehouse or retail area
  • Collaborate with the service team to facilitate seamless order fulfillment and vehicle repairs
  • Engage in upselling and negotiation to maximize sales opportunities while ensuring customer satisfaction

Experience

  • Prior dealership experience or background in truck repair or service preferred
  • Proven experience with inventory management, POS systems, and retail sales operations
  • Strong knowledge of truck diagnostics, vehicle maintenance, and repair processes
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Familiarity with KARMAK software, retail math, and inventory control techniques
  • Demonstrated organizational skills with attention to detail in stock management and order fulfillment
  • Experience with marketing strategies related to parts sales is advantageous
  • Ability to handle cashiering duties effectively while maintaining professional phone etiquette
  • Knowledge of dealership operations combined with strong organizational skills will be highly valued
