Job Role: Java Backend Engineer

Location: McLean, VA/ Plano, TX- 3 days Hybrid

Duration: 6-12 Months

There will be in-person interview at client location. Candidate should be local to the client location (McLean, VA/ Plano, TX)

We are seeking a highly skilled Full Stack Developer with a strong focus on backend systems to design, build, and enhance enterprise-scale applications. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Java, Spring Framework, Angular, and AWS cloud services. Experience with GenAI integration and mortgage/financial domain is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:


• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Java and Spring Boot


• Build and optimize dynamic UI applications using Angular


• Integrate Generative AI components into applications, including model invocation and API integration


• Develop and maintain RDS-backed applications, ensuring efficient data modeling and access patterns


• Work within AWS cloud environments leveraging services such as Lambda, EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, etc.


• Participate in architectural design discussions and recommend improvements for performance and reliability


• Implement secure coding practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing for high-quality delivery


• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product, DevOps, Cloud Engineering, and QA


• Troubleshoot complex issues and provide production support as required

Required Skills & Experience:


• 6–10+ years of Full Stack development experience


• Expert-level Java and Spring Boot experience


• Strong Angular development skills


• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services


• Experience working with relational databases (preferably AWS RDS – PostgreSQL or MySQL)


• Exposure to Generative AI applications, LLM integration, or similar AI technologies


• Experience with Microservices architecture, REST APIs, and distributed systems


• Strong understanding of CI/CD using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or AWS DevOps services


• Solid understanding of security, authentication, and authorization best practices

Preferred Qualifications:


• Mortgage, financial services, or secondary lending domain experience


• Working knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform or CloudFormation


• Experience with event-driven architectures (Kafka, SNS/SQS, etc.).
