What you'll do
- Develop and implement innovative curriculum tailored to the unique needs of preschool and toddler-aged children.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages exploration and creativity.
- Utilize behavior management techniques to promote positive interactions and support social-emotional development.
- Collaborate with parents and caregivers to ensure effective communication regarding each child's progress and well-being.
- Conduct assessments to monitor student development in areas such as literacy, math, and physical education.
- Provide individualized support for children with special needs through early intervention strategies.
- Plan engaging lessons that incorporate hands-on activities, promoting literacy education and childhood development.
- Maintain a clean, organized classroom that meets health and safety standards while ensuring an inviting atmosphere.
Basic qualifications
- Proven experience working with young children in a preschool or daycare setting.
- Strong understanding of early childhood education principles, including Montessori methods.
Preferred qualifications
- Background in curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management.
- Experience with standardized testing and tutoring techniques to enhance student learning outcomes.
- Knowledge of child welfare practices to ensure the safety and well-being of all students.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with parents, staff, and community members.
