This position is responsible for the design, development, and implementation of district-wide instructional technology integration programs. The Technology Integration Specialist supports end-users through training and assistance, develops training materials, and promotes the effective integration of technology into classroom instruction. Additional responsibilities include supporting district-wide online learning initiatives, including the development and facilitation of online and blended learning environments. This includes designing and supporting courses in learning management systems such as Schoology, providing professional learning on effective synchronous and asynchronous instructional practices, and guiding campus-level implementation of curriculum-aligned digital tools that support student engagement and instructional goals.This position plays a key role in the strategic direction of training and support programs, while also managing projects and leading personnel as needed.WORK MONTHS12 monthsEssential FunctionsPlan, develop, and deliver high-quality professional development programs focused on instructional technology integration, aligned with district initiatives.Support both asynchronous and synchronous learning environments, including summer academies, online and blended learning courses, and in-person trainings.Collaborate with teachers, instructional coaches, and school leaders to design and implement curriculum-aligned technology integration strategies.Provide coaching and modeling to support effective use of technology in instruction.Create user-friendly guides, video tutorials, and documentation to support the use of digital tools and platforms.Design and maintain online courses and digital learning modules that meet diverse learner needs.Provide training and support for the district's professional learning management system (PLMS).Leverage video conferencing platforms (e.g., Microsoft Teams) and emerging technologies to support professional learning deliveryCollect and analyze data on professional development participation and impact.Present findings and recommendations to central office staff, school-based leaders, and other stakeholders to inform continuous improvement.Assist educators and staff in resolving technical and instructional challenges with educational technology tools and platforms.Serve as a key support resource during the implementation of new tools and initiatives.Work with school-based teams to develop site-specific plans for integrating instructional technology and digital resources.Facilitate school-based implementation and adaptation of district-wide digital initiatives.Oversee or participate in cross-functional projects that involve the rollout and evaluation of technology-enhanced instructional initiatives.Coordinate timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder communication to ensure successful project outcomes.Stay current with emerging educational technologies, pedagogical trends, and best practices in instructional design.Advocate for equitable access to digital tools and high-quality technology experiences for all students and staff.Establish strong relationships with school staff, district departments, and external partners.Communicate clearly and effectively through written reports, training presentations, and meetings with diverse audiences.Demonstrate a commitment to advancing student achievement in an urban public school district.Other relevant duties as Goals.Education RequiredBachelor's Degree in EducationCertification/Licensure RequiredPennsylvania Department of Education Instructional Certification required.Pennsylvania Educational Specialist Certification in Instructional Technology Specialist preferred.Years Of Experience5 years of experience in leading professional development and integrating instructional technology into the classroom.Knowledge, Skills, & AbilitiesDemonstrated success in developing and implementing staff professional learning opportunities.Ability to design and deliver asynchronous and synchronous distance learning opportunities, including site-based technology-integrated curriculum implementation.Competent in analyzing professional learning data and presenting findings to various stakeholders.Proven classroom experience in integrating instructional technology into curriculum and instruction.Strong training and support skills with the ability to engage adult learners effectively.Proficiency with Windows operating systems, PC-based applications, and productivity software, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).Familiarity with multimedia tools such as Adobe Premiere.Experience with Macintosh systems and emerging educational technologies.Knowledge of the district's technology infrastructure, including administrative systems, networks, and servers preferred.Skilled in utilizing a professional learning management system preferred.Strong interpersonal and organizational skills with the ability to present and train diverse audiences, including school-based staff, central office personnel, and executive leadership.Ability to support technology integration within professional learning initiatives and actively research and recommend tools and strategies aligned with district goals.Proficient in conducting and facilitating professional learning using video conferencing platforms such as Microsoft Teams.Experience supporting teachers and staff in effectively integrating instructional technology into their practice.Ability to prioritize workload and make strategic decisions under pressure.Ability to cultivate relationships, work independently and collaboratively as a team player, under pressure with multiple competing deadlines, and with culturally, educationally, and racially diverse internal and external customers.Excellent verbal and written communication skillsEnthusiastic about the fundamental goal of advancing student achievement in an urban public school district.Value, demonstrate, and promote
