HealthPartners is hiring a Radiology Supervisor. The Radiology Supervisor is responsible for the technical, quality and radiation safety oversight of the HealthPartners Clinic Radiology departments, including Group Health, Inc, North Suburban Family Physicians & Riverway Clinics. Each Radiology Supervisor will be responsible for multiple sites, which may include general diagnostics, urgent care, mammography, ultrasound and DXA and extremity CT. The Radiology Supervisor works in collaboration with the Care Delivery Supervisor and/or Business Systems Supervisor to coordinate aspects of radiology operations and site imaging strategies.

ACCOUNTABILITIES: 

  1. Technical and radiation safety oversight of HealthPartners Clinic Radiology departments to ensure quality performance. 

    • Monitors, reviews and ensures documentation of quality control records. Resolves technical problems by pursuing corrective actions.

    • Assists in maintaining equipment reliability, trouble shooting problems, interacting with vendors and clinical engineers.

    • Participates in establishing and implementing Radiology Policy and Procedures.

    • Works in collaboration with the Radiation Safety Officer and Radiology Physicist.

    • Works in collaboration with other departments at HealthPartners and Regions Hospital such as Epic, PACS Team, Appointment Center, Radiology Scheduling, Radiant Team, IS&T Support Center, etc. to ensure that all systems function to support radiology services. 

  2. In partnership with the Director of Radiology, develops, monitors and manages clinic radiology department budgets, striving for cost effectiveness and cost savings. 

    • Identify when equipment needs to be upgraded or replaced.

    • Partners with hospital departments and other imaging partners to develop seamless care between sites. 

  3. Ensures compliance with applicable regulatory agencies including the Minnesota Department of Health, FDA/MQSA, IAC, OSHA, ACR and prepares for inspections as required. 

  4. Technical personnel management and development. 

    • Manages radiology staffing schedule in collaboration with the Radiology Scheduler.

    • Establishes and evaluates performance through appraisals, competency, coaching and progressive discipline.

    • Interviews and hires new radiology staff.

    • Arranges for training and in-servicing of radiology staff, as needed.

    • Creates and disseminates weekly huddles to radiology staff.

    • Facilitates meetings with radiology staff.

    • Works with radiologist to identify exam quality concerns.

    • Validates and approves timecards.

    • Direct supervisory responsibility for radiology staff at Health Partners Primary Care Clinics. 

    • Technical Consultant role with radiology staff working at North Suburban Family Physicians and Riverway Clinics.

  5. Administers Corporate Initiatives. 

  6. Employee Recognition and Appreciation. 

    • Celebrates successes and anniversaries through Ovations and e-mail.

    • Staff recognition in weekly huddles.

  7. As a member of the HealthPartners Radiology Management Team, provides consultation and education to providers regarding radiology procedures and utilization of radiology services. 

    • Provides consultation to provider staff regarding radiology routine exams.

    • Works with medical staff to assure appropriate utilization of radiology services.

  8. Facility Management. 

    • In partnership with Facility Services and clinic management, identifies needs for department improvements at existing clinics.

    • Collaborates with Facility Services and clinic management to design, develop and implement new radiology departments.

  9. Patient Experience. 

    • Acts as an effective, consistent role model of Service Excellence: exemplifying courtesy, compassion and responsiveness to all customers.

    • Works with clinic staff, radiology management and radiologists to identify new opportunities to improve patient satisfaction.

  10. Professional Development.

    • Demonstrates professional development through participation in leadership training, continuing education, special projects and professional organizations.

    • Participates in HPMG/Regions Hospital Leadership development and is an active member of the team. 
       

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Graduate of a two-year accredited Radiologic Technology Program.

  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), in good standing.

  • Five years of recent experience working in a clinical radiology setting.

  • Progressive leadership experience.

  • Two years of recent supervisory experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Active member of MSRT, ASRT or AHRA.

  • Bachelor's Degree.

  • Mammography certification.

  • Sonography. 

  • PACS/Radiology Informatics experience.
