Production Supervisor

Position Overview
The Production Supervisor will oversee daily manufacturing operations within a biotech/pharmaceutical facility, ensuring compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), safety standards, and company quality objectives. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to drive operational excellence in a regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate production staff to meet daily, weekly, and monthly output goals.
- Ensure compliance with FDA, EMA, and GMP regulations in all manufacturing processes.
- Monitor production schedules, workflows, and resource allocation to optimize efficiency.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate team members to foster professional growth and maintain high performance.
- Collaborate with Quality Assurance (QA), Quality Control (QC), Engineering, and Supply Chain teams to resolve issues and improve processes.
- Maintain accurate production records, batch documentation, and deviation reports.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma practices.
- Enforce safety protocols and maintain a clean, compliant work environment.
- Support audits and inspections by regulatory agencies and internal stakeholders.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities under strict timelines.
- Proficiency with manufacturing systems (ERP/MES) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with aseptic processing, biologics, or sterile manufacturing.
- Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Knowledge of validation, equipment qualification, and process improvement
Qualifications
Education: BA/BS degree in Life Sciences, Engineering, or related field.
Experience: 3–5 years of supervisory or leadership experience in biotech, pharmaceutical, or related manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of GMP, FDA/EMA regulations, and pharmaceutical production processes.
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Salary Range: $75,000 to $100,000/yr
