Job Overview

We are seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused Automotive Service Advisor to join our team. In this role, you will be the primary point of contact for customers seeking automotive services. Your responsibilities will include assessing customer needs, providing accurate estimates, and ensuring a high level of satisfaction throughout the service process. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and excellent customer service skills, with a background in automotive diagnostics and repair.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers promptly and professionally, addressing their automotive service needs.
  • Conduct thorough vehicle inspections to identify issues and recommend appropriate services.
  • Provide detailed estimates for repairs and maintenance, including parts and labor costs.
  • Upsell additional services based on customer needs and vehicle condition.
  • Collaborate with service technicians to ensure timely completion of repairs.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, service history, and transactions.
  • Handle cash transactions efficiently while ensuring accuracy in billing.
  • Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns.
  • Stay updated on automotive technology, repair techniques, and industry trends.

Experience

  • Previous dealership experience is preferred but not required.
  • Strong background in auto service management or as a service technician is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with automotive diagnostics, mechanical knowledge, and vehicle maintenance practices is essential.
  • Experience in upselling services and products within an automotive setting is highly valued.
  • Proficiency in auto estimating, sales, service writing, and customer service is necessary.
  • Knowledge of specific automotive repair areas such as transmissions, oil changes, brake repair, alignment, suspension, tire service, diesel engine repair, shocks & struts, auto body repair, and air brake systems is beneficial.
