Federal Thermal, a leading factory representative and stocking distributor of mechanical equipment, boilers, and controls for commercial and industrial applications, is seeking a dynamic Branch Manager to lead our Tulsa market. This role is responsible for driving branch growth through strategic planning, operational excellence, and team leadership. The Branch Manager will oversee all branch operations, inspire and guide inside and outside sales teams to achieve sales targets, and ensure superior service for existing and prospective customers. As the local leader, you will align teams, optimize processes, and ensure profitability while fostering a culture of accountability and innovation. Your leadership will play a pivotal role in strengthening Federal Thermal's reputation as a trusted partner and building the foundation for the company's continued success.

What you Bring:

  • Proven experience as a Branch or Operations Manager or equivalent.
  • Associate's degree required, bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum 5-7 years of relevant experience in distribution, mechanical, HVAC, hydronics or industrial supply.
  • Managed teams of 5-15 with measurable accountability (sales growth, profitability, inventory accuracy).
  • Proven ability to improve culture and results in an existing branch or business unit.
  • ERP system experience required (preferably in Acumatica).
  • A-Player: Top performer who delivers results consistently and lifts team performance.
  • High Capacity: Handles multiple moving parts: operations, sales, people - with structure and follow-through.
  • Independent Executor: Keeps open items visible, drives them to closure, and doesn't require handholding.
  • Cultural Stabilizer: Can identify and redirect negative attitudes toward corporate through steady leadership and clear expectations.
  • Balanced Skill Set: Solid operations leader with strong comfort engaging in sales and customer conversations.
  • Must be able to pass a drug test and background check.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. unassisted, regularly and sometimes daily.

Branch Manager Role & Responsibilities:

  • Champion Core Values – Ensure all interactions, both internal and external, consistently reflect and reinforce Federal Thermal's Core Values.

Leadership & Staff Development -

  • Plan, monitor, and optimize day-to-day operations for business success.
  • Continual process improvement to develop and mentor current and future branch and sales staff.
  • Conduct performance appraisals for direct reports and support the professional growth of existing employees.
  • Assist with onsite "Lunch & Learns" and all employee trainings.
  • Mentor inside and counter sales staff in building relationships with walk-in, remote and inactive customers.

Branch Operations & Facilities Management

  • Oversee the daily operations of the branch, including inventory management, order fulfillment, deliveries, and service.
  • Manage the building, including cleanliness, organization, comfort, and any leasing needs.
  • Uphold and enforce company policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

Sales Leadership & Business Development

  • Prospect and develop relationships with potential customers to cultivate new business.
  • Support sales staff in building strong customer relationships through responsive communication and reliable service.
  • Engage with customers through branch activities and customer training opportunities.
  • Provide ongoing feedback to inside and outside sales teams to help achieve sales goals.
  • Ensures that sales lead and/or quotes are followed up on in a timely manner.
  • Continually looks for opportunities to expand the business.
  • Informs customers of unit pricing, shipping dates, anticipated delays, and other necessary information.

Corporate Communication, Collaboration & Responsibilities

  • Engage with employees in other departments and at corporate to foster strong working relationships.
  • Adapt to evolving business needs by taking on additional responsibilities as directed by senior leadership.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80, $105,000.00 per year
