Technical Operational Support Reports to: Product Manager

Role Overview

The Technical Operational Support position bridges field operations, training, and product enablement. This role is responsible for developing and delivering comprehensive technical training programs for internal teams and customers, leveraging documentation provided by Engineering. The position focuses on creating structured onboarding curriculums, interactive learning modules, and instructional videos to ensure consistent technical proficiency across all Athena products and deployments.

Key Responsibilities Training & Development

• Lead new-hire technical training sessions (onsite and virtual) covering system setup, configuration, troubleshooting, and operational best practices.
• Develop a structured multi-week onboarding program for Customer Success, Field Technicians, and Partner Contractors.
• Create and maintain training materials, manuals, and certification exams aligned with current product documentation.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Product teams to translate technical specs into digestible training content.
• Design and produce video modules and interactive guides for each product line (WDS, Apollo, VMS, etc.) using provided documentation and visual assets.Technical Operations Support
• Account setup, MDM/ABM configuration, iPad configuration.
• Provide onsite and remote technical support during deployments, escalations, or newsystem launches.
• Document recurring issues, FAQs, and field feedback to enhance training content andproduct improvements.
• Assist with internal SOPs, configuration guides, and process documentation for systemsetup and maintenance.
• Partner with Quality Assurance and Engineering to validate field readiness and ensure product updates are reflected in training materials.
• Troubleshooting skills — able to diagnose and resolve common wiring and connection issues.
• Strong networking knowledge — understanding of network setup, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs of equipment required for transporting and installing hardware.

Continuous Improvement

• Maintain a version-controlled library of all training assets.
• Evaluate effectiveness of training through performance metrics, feedback, andcertification results.
• Identify knowledge gaps and proactively update training content and delivery methods.

What We're Looking For

3+ years experience in technical support, field engineering, or operations training

Strong understanding of hardware/software systems (security, networking, or IoTpreferred)

Proven experience creating technical documentation, SOPs, or instructional materials

Proficiency with learning management systems (LMS), video editing tools, and screencapture software

Excellent communication and presentation skills

Ability to travel domestically for onsite training and deployments

Compensation

• Base: $75,000 – $90,000
