Job Summary

The Cloud Data Platform & Integration Architect is responsible for designing scalable, cloud-agnostic enterprise data platforms and reusable integration patterns. This role defines end-to-end architecture for data ingestion, transformation, movement, and interoperability across analytical and operational ecosystems. The architect partners closely with engineering, governance, and domain teams to deliver secure, governed, and high-performing data solutions that support enterprise data strategy and AI readiness.

Major Responsibilities
  • Architect cloud-native data platforms (lakehouse, warehouse, streaming, ingestion services).
  • Develop enterprise integration patterns (ETL/ELT, CDC, APIs, event streaming, virtualization).
  • Create reusable reference architectures, onboarding templates, and platform design guidelines.
  • Partner with cloud engineering to define capability roadmaps and platform guardrails.
  • Enable domain teams with best practices on ingestion, modeling, and data product onboarding.
  • Ensure platform designs meet enterprise governance, metadata, lineage, and security standards.
  • Support modernization and migration accelerators.
  • Conduct architecture reviews and support delivery teams through design cycles.
  • Evaluate emerging platform technologies and recommend improvements for scalability and reliability.
Mandatory Qualifications
  • 8–12+ years in data architecture, platform engineering, cloud engineering or integration architecture.
  • Hands-on expertise in AWS/Azure/GCP data services (multi-cloud or cloud-agnostic architecture).
  • Strong experience with ETL/ELT pipelines, CDC, API integration, and event streaming systems.
  • Deep understanding of batch, streaming, and real-time data integration patterns.
  • Working knowledge of data modeling, metadata patterns, and lineage standards.
  • Proven ability to translate business requirements into data architecture designs.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
Good to Have
  • Experience with lakehouse frameworks (Databricks, Snowflake).
  • Container orchestration or serverless design experience.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD patterns.
  • Exposure to data mesh or federated data architecture models.
  • Background working with regulated business domains or compliance frameworks.

  • Clear communication and facilitation.
  • Requirements translation and business engagement.
  • Architectural decision-making and design thinking.
  • Ability to simplify complex platform concepts for non-technical teams.
  • Cross-functional collaboration across engineering, cloud, governance, and delivery.
  • Agile delivery mindset.
Education & Certifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
  • Cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, GCP) preferred.
  • Architecture certifications (TOGAF, C4, etc.) are a plus.

The typical base pay range for this role is between $149k - $180k depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonuses and/or incentive compensation.
