The Network Technology product management department oversees Akamai's network and hardware components, driving technical advancements to reshape the network platform. This ensures Akamai remains influential in future technological developments. Collaboration with the Hardware Engineering team is key, focusing on designing, qualifying, and scaling server platforms. Partnerships with OEM/ODM manufacturers ensure reliable, efficient, and secure platforms from concept to global deployment.

As a Senior Product Manager, this role involves creating and enhancing server platforms tailored for cloud workloads and AI inference configurations. Responsibilities include leading server lifecycle efforts while addressing performance, cost, and reliability objectives effectively.
As a Senior Product Manager, you will be responsible for:
Overseeing the entire product lifecycle for compute and GPU server. Crafting PRD documents, user requirements, feature prioritization, roadmap, launch, and adoption.Developing Network Technologies' long-term product strategy, life-cycles, and roadmaps while aligning with business unit management and sales representatives' go-to-market plans.Working directly with business units to evaluate and PoC new product innovations and execution for products.Developing comprehensive business analysis and financial models to support business cases and long-term product planning.Becoming the trusted expert in industry trends and market landscape relevant to direct and related markets for assigned product lines.Ensuring collaboration among engineering, architecture, operations, and supply chain teams to achieve timely and scalable product delivery.Aligning with architecture, engineering, and program management to prioritize features, define releases, and balance performance, power, thermals, BOM, and schedule.Do what you love
To be successful in this role you will:
Have 12 years of experience with product management, product development with Hardware & Server teams or it's equivalent.Possess understanding of GPU/accelerated compute architectures and their contributions to AI, HPC, and distributed storage systems is necessary.Have experience defining GPU, servers, data center infrastructure, or disaggregated architectures (GPU/DPU/accelerators) will distinguish you.Demonstrate ability to understand, define, and communicate the value of highly technical cloud products.Possess deep relationship-building skills and experience collaborating with technology partners.Work in a way that works for you

Compensation
Akamai is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For US based candidates only - the base salary for this position ranges from $126,700 - $263,300/year; a candidate's salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location. Compensation for candidates outside the US will vary. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of annual bonus or incentives, equity awards and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP). Akamai provides industry-leading benefits including healthcare, 401K savings plan, company holidays, vacation (in the form of PTO), sick time, family friendly benefits including parental leave and an employee assistance program including a focus on mental and financial wellness; Eligibility requirements apply.
