Join our dynamic team as a Support Specialist, where you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional assistance to individuals facing challenges in their mental health and well-being. You will utilize your expertise in crisis intervention and management to empower clients, guiding them through their most difficult moments. What you'll do
- Provide crisis intervention and management support to clients in need, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Conduct thorough assessments to identify client needs and develop tailored support plans.
- Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to encourage positive behavioral changes in clients.
- Offer addiction counseling and mental health counseling services to individuals facing various challenges.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care and ensure comprehensive support for clients.
- Maintain accurate records using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, documenting client progress and interventions.
- Mentor clients by providing guidance, resources, and encouragement throughout their recovery journey.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in social work and behavioral health.
Basic qualifications
- Strong communication skills with the ability to empathize and connect with diverse populations.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience in crisis intervention or crisis management within a behavioral health setting.
- Background in social work or related fields, with knowledge of mental health counseling practices.
- Familiarity with EHR systems for effective documentation and tracking of client progress.
