Role Summary
The Lead University Recruiting Program Manager is responsible for designing, implementing, and scaling internship, co-op and retention programs that attract top-tier students to RV Tech, giving them insight into what a future career looks like at this innovative and forward thinking company.
This role serves as a central point of contact for early-career talent including hiring managers, mentors, universities and candidates. You will be responsible for managing the logistics and experience of internship cohorts in both the U.S and abroad. The Program Manager will need to have a strong attention to detail as well as the ability to prioritize projects and set benchmarks for program development and implementation.
Success requires exceptional cross-functional collaboration and a strong data-driven mindset. This role partners closely with hiring managers, university recruiters, finance, branding and comms as well as IT and facilities.
This position reports into the Senior Manager of Early Career Talent. This is a Hybrid role in either Palo Alto, or Irvine, California office. You will travel at least once a quarter to other RV Tech office locations including Irvine, Palo Alto, Vancouver BC. As the company expands you may be asked to travel to additional locations.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the management, implementation, and improvement of internship and co-op programs in the U.S., Canada and EMEA with a focus on candidate experience with strong alignment with the talent needs of the business
- Drive clarity and transparency within cross functional partners around timeline, performance standards,, program structure and engagement
- Oversees program budget and resources for year-round programming for multiple timelines and locations
- Implement emerging technologies, methods and best practices in relations to program management
- Manage the early career student ambassador and employee alumni program
- Create and conduct professional development for internship participants including technical talks
- Develop hiring manager and mentor trainings
- Collect and analyze program NPS data both qualitative and quantitative to assess program effectiveness and opportunities for improvement
- Partner with Early Career Talent Senior Manager on intern conversions and communications to senior leaders
- Develop a keep warm strategy including external comms, company updates, and community building pre onboarding to maintain candidate engagement and reduce renege rates
- Develop strategies for early career talent recruiting to stay competitive in the market
Qualifications
- 5+ years of university program management experience
- 2+ years of international program management experience
- Experience building programs from scratch and implementing change within an organization - measuring and reporting on effectiveness of changes
- Strong attention to detail and organization skills
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with senior management both verbally and in writing
- Strong data reporting and analysis skills
- High proficiency in building training decks and presenting to large audiences
- Experience working in a fast-paced, professional, global business environment
- Must be self-motivated, demonstrate initiative, and able to work independently
- Must be able to prioritize, deliver on deadlines, problem solve, and multi-task
- Bachelor's degree or relevant experience required
Pay Disclosure
Salary Range/Hourly Rate for Palo Alto, California Based Applicants: $149,700 - $182,500 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).
Salary Range/Hourly Rate for Irvine California Based Applicants: $137,800 - $172,200 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).
Benefits Summary: Rivian and Volkswagen Group Technologies provides robust medical/Rx, dental and vision insurance packages for full-time and part-time employees, their spouse or domestic partner, and children up to age 26. Full Time Employee coverage is effective on the first day of employment. Part-Time employee coverage is effective the first of the month following 90 days of employment.
