Clerk/Cashier PT

Overview

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Cashier to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service while accurately processing transactions. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment. A positive attitude and a willingness to assist customers are essential for success in this position.

Shift

Friday and Saturday 3:00 - 9:00 pm and Sunday 11:00 am to 5:00 pm

Duties

• Greet customers warmly and provide assistance as needed.
• Accurately handle cash transactions using a cash register or POS system.
• Communicate effectively with customers to answer questions and resolve issues.
• Stock shelves and maintain product displays to ensure a neat shopping environment.
• Perform basic math calculations for cash handling and retail transactions.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the checkout area.
• Adhere to company policies regarding cash handling and security procedures.
• Demonstrate product knowledge to effectively sell items and promote store offerings.

Experience

• Previous experience in a retail or cashier role is preferred.
• Familiarity with cash registers, POS systems, and basic retail math is beneficial.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with customers and team members.
