JOB SUMMARY:

The Supply Chain Manager oversees and optimizes supply chain operations at one of our three U.S. manufacturing facilities. Responsibilities include planning, ordering raw and packaging materials, ensuring timely product delivery for production, inventory management, and coordinating with internal and external partners to support production requirements. This role is accountable for OTIF performance, efficient material flow, and full plant supply chain responsibility to meet customer expectations. Additionally, you will regularly identify and implement process improvements. We are looking for someone who has a deep understanding of supply chain management in an industrial manufacturing environment.

The position does not include commercial responsibility for supplier relationships.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Act as the primary supply chain point of contact for the site.
  • Run MRP program and procure raw materials and packaging required for production planning for your respective location.
  • Monitor and track On Time In Full (OTIF) performance, proactively identifying trends and implementing strategies to improve service reliability.
  • Collaborate (internally) closely with production planning, procurement, and warehouse teams to maintain sufficient inventory levels, safety stocks and ensure timely availability of materials to prevent disruptions.
  • Collaborate (externally) with suppliers, distributors, manufacturers, and transportation companies to ensure timely delivery of goods.
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective action plans in the event of supplier delivery misses or raw material quality issues, ensuring problems are addressed and prevented in the future.
  • Manage and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) including Service Level, Inventory turns, and Days on Hand, delivering regular updates to leadership and driving accountability through data-driven insights.
  • Act as a backup for supply chain activities at other plant locations as needed, ensuring business continuity across the network.
  • Support and lead special projects related to supply chain optimization, cost savings, process improvement, and cross-functional initiatives as assigned.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Acts as part of the team coordinating engineering changes, product line extension, or new product launches to ensure timely and orderly material and production flow transitions.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:

  • Strong Supply Chain Management experience. (If you have not directly performed this position in your past this position is not for you)
  • Strong analytical skills with proven success in performance tracking and problem solving.
  • Experience with root cause analysis methodologies and corrective action implementation.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, with experience coordinating across multiple sites and departments.
  • Proficient in inventory management systems, ERP tools, and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong Excel skill are required for this position.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies is a plus.
  • Experience working in cross-functional and matrixed organizations is a plus.
  • Agility to manage multiple priorities and work effectively on cross-functional teams and special projects.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or 10 years related experience is required.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in supply chain, procurement, logistics management within a manufacturing environment, preferably in, oil grease, or chemical industry.

TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:

  • General Safety training annually
  • Various quality training and Hazardous material handling as required

  • 10%-20% overnight travel required. (Travel to the assigned facility at least quarterly)
