Role Description

We are seeking a motivated
Sales Director

to focus exclusively on developing and growing relationships with
self-funded employers

in the Dallas–Fort Worth metropolitan area, with opportunities to expand into other Texas markets. This role is responsible for establishing OpenNetworks as a preferred partner within the employee benefits ecosystem for self-insured employers and achieving defined membership and revenue targets.

Responsibilities

Lead Generation & Prospecting:

  • Identify and research self-funded employers in the DFW market through databases, networking events, and referrals.
  • Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified prospects.
  • Execute outbound outreach, including cold calling, email campaigns, and LinkedIn engagement.
  • Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to strengthen market presence.

Sales Activity & Account Development:

  • Conduct discovery calls to understand employer benefits challenges and objectives.
  • Schedule and facilitate product demos and presentations for HR leaders and C-suite executives.
  • Develop customized proposals and pricing solutions tailored to self-funded employers.
  • Manage the full sales cycle from initial contact through contract execution.
  • Engage with key employer partners including TPAs, brokers, consultants, underwriters, and more.
  • Collaborate with internal OpenNetworks teams including product, implementation, and customer success.
  • Achieve assigned membership and revenue goals.

Relationship Management & Success:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with HR directors, benefits managers, and executive decision-makers.
  • Serve as the primary contact for assigned prospects and clients throughout the sales process.
  • Provide ongoing consultation to support client satisfaction and identify expansion opportunities.
  • Partner with channel partners when appropriate to maximize sales outcomes.

Market Intelligence & Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate records of all sales activities and interactions in the CRM system.
  • Track and report key metrics including outreach volume, meetings, proposals, and revenue.
  • Provide feedback on market trends, competitive insights, and customer needs.
  • Participate in regular sales meetings and pipeline reviews with the Sales Leader.

Qualifications

  • Proven expertise in Sales, Business Development, and identifying new market opportunities
  • Experience in Sales Operations and effective strategy execution
  • Strong Customer Service skills with a focus on relationship building
  • Leadership experience in Team Management to drive performance and attain goals
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets in the healthcare industry is a strong advantage
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred
