Integration Consultant

Short Description: Client seeks a senior application integration consultant to assist in migrating its enterprise integration platform from on-premise application (Oracle SOA suite) to Microsoft Azure Cloud solution.    Complete Description:  The DC Office of the Chief Technology Officer's Data Services team is looking for an IT Consultant to assist in moving its enterprise integration platform from Oracle SOA suite to a cloud solution. This resource shall assist in the development of new integration solutions in a cloud environment.   Complete Description · Expertise and Strong hands-on experience in technologies related to application integration. · Implementation of projects with integration platforms like Oracle SOA, Microsoft Azure and other cloud-based solutions · Define processes and plans for incremental migrations of services and scripts from as-is environment to cloud solution. · Partner with technical team members (developers, administrators, quality analysts) to analyze and document the existing architecture, functionality, and dependencies of different applications in an integration. · Evaluate options and formulate solutions, assess overall feasibility, determine current and future cost models, develop timelines, and align with functional requirements. · Translation of requirements into high level technical architecture. · Strong design and troubleshooting skills with an understanding and/or development experience in multiple web service protocols, programming languages, security, development methodologies and governance. · Create, enhance, modify and develop with enterprise and custom connectors. · Work with Enterprise platforms for CRM, HR, Procurement, Finance to implement new and/or modify existing integrations. · Experience with development and concepts of Microservices is a plus. · Manage and complete multiple, competing, high priority projects with varying deadlines. · Formulates and defines systems scope and objectives based on both user needs and a thorough understanding of business systems and industry requirements. · Devises or modifies procedures to solve complex problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operation time, and form of desired results. Includes analysis of business and user needs, documentation of requirements, and translation into proper system requirements specifications. · Provides consultation on complex projects and is the top-level contributor/specialist of most phases of systems analysis, while considering the business implications of the application of technology to the current and future business environment.    Responsibilities: · Coordinates IT project management, engineering, maintenance, QA, and risk management. · Plans, coordinates, and monitors project activities. · Develops technical applications to support users. · Develops, implements, maintains and enforces documented standards and procedures for the design, development, installation, modification, and documentation of assigned systems. · Provides training for system products and procedures. · Performs application upgrades. · Performs, monitoring, maintenance, or reporting on real- time databases, real-time network and serial data communications, and real-time graphics and logic applications. · Troubleshoots problems. · Ensures project life-cycle is in compliance with District standards and procedures. Minimum Education/Certification Requirements:
 Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field or equivalent experience   Skills Matrix: · Expertise in Software Engineering and Application Integration. Required 15 Years
· Experience working with Web Services / Messaging: XML, REST, API development, ITIL processes and SOA Governance. Required 10 Years
· Experience with cloud integration platforms like Oracle, Microsoft Azure and other cloud-based solutions. Required 5 Years
· Experience with enterprise platforms including Salesforce, PeopleSoft, ServiceNow, SAPARIBA, Box, Oracle ERP. Highly desired 5 Years
· Expertise programming with languages such as Java, .NET, Python. Required 12 Years
· Experience working with enterprise connectors and developing custom connectors. Required 5 Years
· Experience with migration of APIs from traditional applications to cloud platforms. Required 3 Years
· Experience with Unix, Red Hat Linux, Shells. Required 7 Years
· Experience with protocols such as FTP/SFTP/FTPS/PGP/GPG. Highly desired 4 Years
· Experience with Oracle SOA Suite12C. Required 2 Years
· Experience with development and concepts of Micro Services. Nice to have 2 Years
· Use of SDLC methodologies: Agile and Waterfall. Required 12 Years
· Education or certification in Microsoft Azure platform architecture and development tools. Nice to have 2 Years

Compensation: $ $81.00 per hour
