Accountant & HR Coordinator

Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accountant & HR Coordinator to join our team. In this dual role, you will be responsible for overseeing the company's financial operations as well as supporting human resources functions. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting knowledge, along with a solid understanding of HR practices, to manage and execute a variety of tasks that ensure the smooth running of our financial and HR operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounting Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including general ledgers, balance sheets, and profit & loss statements.
- Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate payments and collections.
- Reconcile bank and credit card statements to ensure financial accuracy.
- Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
- Support the preparation of tax filings and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
- Assist in the budgeting and forecasting process to support company financial planning.
- Help with audit preparations and liaise with external auditors when necessary.
HR Responsibilities:
- Manage employee records, ensuring accurate and up-to-date documentation.
- Assist in the recruitment process, including posting job openings, screening resumes, and scheduling interviews.
- Coordinate onboarding for new hires, including benefits enrollment and orientation.
- Assist with payroll processing and maintain accurate records for employee compensation.
- Support employee engagement and retention programs, including organizing training sessions, wellness programs, and team-building events.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies.
- Handle employee inquiries related to HR policies, payroll, and benefits.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field.
- Proven experience in both accounting and HR roles (2-3 years preferred).
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax regulations.
- Familiarity with HR practices and labor laws.
- Proficiency in accounting software QuickBooks and HR management systems Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
