The
Director, Mobile and Web Solutions and Delivery
will lead the strategy, architecture, and execution of mobile-first initiatives, overseeing the development of native and hybrid mobile applications with a secondary focus on responsive web solutions. This position requires a hands-on technical leader with demonstrated full-stack mobile expertise, secure coding and architectural excellence, vendor selection and management skills, and strong business alignment and partnership capabilities. The Director will drive teams through the entire mobile and web development lifecycle, ensuring delivery excellence in a fast-paced, results-driven, and highly collaborative environment.

How You'll Shine

  • Provide technical and strategic leadership in regard to systems and products, including being conversant with the future direction of mobile and web, how that direction will impact the enterprise, and how future and current systems can be leveraged for the benefit of the company.
  • Partner and align with business functions and Business Relationship Management team to explore and strategize on delivering web and mobile business solutions through technology enablement. Partner with all IT disciplines and governing bodies to develop and deliver priority solutions within project constraints and with expected outcomes.
  • Collaborate and consult with other developers and solution providers internally and externally about technology and development, specifically around current and future state web and mobility and legacy integration. Lead and participate in vendor management – selection, negotiate, influence and manage onshore, near shore and offshore vendors – delivery and support.
  • Direct group in establishing goals and objectives and work plans, setting priorities, coordinating tasks, and reporting on activities and accomplishments. Responsible for administrative activities - talent acquisition and strategic hires, termination, promotions, performance reviews and coaching including mentoring and career development and succession planning. Direct, motivate, delegate, and empower staff in the successful performance of their tasks and responsibilities, while encouraging innovation and creativity.
  • Ensure adherence of formal processes, standards, and total quality practices, including and especially, security and compliance are applied and met.
  • Create a customer-focused collaborative environment within the organization, participate in the organization's Process Excellence best practices in support of improve efficiency and enhance productivity for both operational and strategic project work.

Travel Requirements

  • Travel should be less than 15%. Travel to different business units, offices, resorts and Corporate within the United States may be necessary but should not be extensive. Occasional travel for learning and development many be required.

  • Ability to facilitate the completion of work by individuals inside and outside the IT organization.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communications skills. Ability to work and effectively communicate with senior executive management, peers, and outside vendors is important.
  • Proven full-stack mobile leadership in building and scaling native and hybrid mobile applications, with additional expertise in Responsive and "Mobile First" design for optimized mobile web experiences.
  • Extensive full-stack mobile expertise with deep experience in developing, architecting, and deploying native iOS and Android applications, complemented by proficiency in building mobile-optimized web experiences.
  • Proficiency in one or more key technologies including Java, .NET, , JavaScript, and NoSQL databases, along with emerging trends such as Cloud, SaaS, microservices, and RESTful Web Services.
  • Strong experience with HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript frameworks for responsive, mobile-friendly web interfaces.
  • Demonstrated ability to design and implement mobile-centric UX/UI experiences that align with platform-specific design standards (Apple HIG, Material Design).
  • Proven background in service-oriented architecture (SOA) and API-driven ecosystems to support mobile and web solutions.
  • Knowledge of designing and programming relational and NoSQL databases supporting scalable mobile backends.
  • Solid understanding and practical experience with Agile, Scrum, and DevOps methodologies, and the judgment to apply the right approach in varying delivery contexts.
  • Strong background in mobile application architecture, software development, and vendor management, with secondary focus on responsive web systems and integrations.
  • Working knowledge of secure mobile and web application development (OWASP) and data privacy compliance best practices.
  • Additional experience with system infrastructure, networking, and cloud deployment environments is a plus.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience as a developer in mobile and web technologies with at least 3 of those years managing and building a development team
  • 5+ years of experience working with CTO, CIO and other C-Level executives, identifying their requirements and working with them to provide solutions that enable the business
  • 3+ years of experience managing or leading highly technical software development teams, both onshore and offshore and vendor management
