Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately.
- Conduct repairs and maintenance on various vehicle systems including engines, transmissions, powertrain components, suspension, steering, brakes, shocks & struts, and tire services.
- Repair and replace diesel engines, ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), air brakes, and other specialized components with precision.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools efficiently for tasks such as oil changes, wheel alignments, welding, and auto body repairs.
- Interpret technical manuals and schematics to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical problems effectively.
- Service vehicle systems including automotive electrical systems, auto estimating, auto body repairs, and general automotive service to ensure optimal performance.
- Perform wheel alignments, suspension adjustments, tire rotations, brake repairs, and shocks & struts replacements to enhance vehicle safety and handling.
- Maintain detailed service records and communicate clearly with customers about repair needs and estimates.
- Adhere to safety protocols at all times while working with power tools and heavy equipment.
- Support maintenance tasks that extend vehicle lifespan such as fluid changes, belt replacements, and system inspections.
Requirements
- Proven mechanic experience with a strong background in automotive repair; dealership experience is highly preferred.
- Extensive knowledge of automotive diagnostics, schematics interpretation, and electrical systems troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with ADAS technology, auto estimating procedures, GM vehicles (or similar brands), welding techniques, and auto body repair is advantageous.
- Ability to work efficiently with hand tools and power tools in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Strong mechanical knowledge across vehicle maintenance disciplines including oil changes, alignment services, suspension work, tire service, brake repair, shocks & struts replacement.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to clients.
- Valid certification or licensing related to automotive repair; ASE certification is a plus.
