Tradition Golf Club is a special place. We are known for our golf, our beauty, history and warm and friendly members. Tradition offers an 18-hole course, 9-hole par 3 course, practice facilities, over 100 member and family events, full fitness facility, spa services, bocce ball, pickleball and many enriched programs and fun social events.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Outside Service position at Tradition Golf Club works closely with the Head Golf Professional to ensure that Tradition Golf Club's mission, core values, service standards, and objectives are met. This is a highly visible position that requires a large presence with excellent communication skills. Outside Service Staff Members are expected to be dedicated, to take initiative, and to be a team player.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

• Customer Service - Provide the highest level of customer service to Tradition members and their guests with special attention to detail. Go above and beyond to ensure that every club encounter is a memorable experience. Follow up on complaints, questions, and concerns; respond to internal/external customer needs in a friendly, timely and efficient manner.
• Integrity - Represent Tradition Golf Club with integrity and professionalism at all times.

• Golf Stock levels - Maintain stock levels associated with golf activities (pencils, ball markers, tees, scorecards, pin sheets, divot tools, waters, paper, spot free water service, etc.)

• Leadership – Maintain a positive, upbeat role, promote and exemplify Tradition's values and represent departmental objectives and interests to internal and external customers.

• Team Player - Work well with others as a team; build strong work relationships with excellent communication

• Punctuality – Be on time and ready to work your shift at your scheduled shift time.
• Cart Staging – Golf carts are to be staged in the morning, ready for members to arrive (Clean, stocked with ice, towels, tees, scorecard, pin sheet, sand, wet towels, etc.)
• Personality – Greet all members by name with a warm, familiar greeting to establish rapport. Our members come here to have a fantastic time, try to make every interaction memorable
• Safety – Attend monthly golf operation safety meetings. Adhere to all federal, state and local laws regarding health, safety and employment
• Bag Drop – Assist members with their golf bags from their car to our golf carts. If necessary, escort guests to their next destination (locker room, dining room, driving range, etc.)
• Driving Range – Driving range is to be clean and stocked at all times (Including the chipping green and bunkers)
• Work Areas – Keep work areas neat at all times. Members tend to walk through the cart barn, so be sure everything is in order
• Be Forward-Looking – Prepare for the next day in advance. Have carts, towels, etc. ready to go before you leave
• Valet – Have a legal driver's license and be capable of parking a variety of vehicles

• Caddying – There may be opportunity to caddy for members or guests on occasion

• Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and/or Experience

• High School diploma or GED
• One (1) year related experience in hospitality or service industry (Required)
• Private Club experience (Preferred)
• Golf experience (Preferred)
• Golf club repair experience (Preferred)

Required Technical / Other Skills and Abilities

• Must be able to perform tasks outdoors in hot temperature
• Excellent Communication skills (Required)
• Excellent listening and comprehension skills (required)
• Positive interpersonal skills (Required)
• Ability to work well under pressure and coordinate multiple tasks

Required Licenses/Certifications

• Valid Driver's License
