Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum tailored to infants and toddlers, promoting cognitive, social, and emotional development
  • Provide attentive care to meet the individual needs of each child, including feeding, diapering, and comforting
  • Create a safe, clean, and stimulating classroom environment conducive to learning and exploration
  • Monitor and document children's progress, behaviors, and developmental milestones
  • Collaborate with parents and guardians to communicate children's progress and address any concerns
  • Manage classroom routines efficiently, including nap times, playtimes, and learning activities
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, including first aid procedures
  • Engage in ongoing professional development related to early childhood education, special education, or caregiving best practices

Requirements

  • Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or similar settings; experience with infants and toddlers is preferred
  • Knowledge of childhood development principles and age-specific caregiving techniques
  • Certification in first aid and CPR required; additional training in special education or working with children with disabilities is a plus
  • Strong classroom management skills with the ability to foster positive behavior management strategies
  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with parents, colleagues, and children
  • Ability to create engaging activities that promote learning through play
  • Compassionate caregiver with patience, flexibility, and a nurturing attitude
  • Experience with classroom experience or nannying/babysitting roles involving young children is advantageous
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe environment adhering to all health protocols
