Job Description

As a Security Officer - Tech Campus Screener in Lexington, KY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Screener in a dynamic tech and media environment, you will monitor and patrol designated areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while providing outstanding customer service. Your role includes conducting routine patrols, remaining highly visible, and assisting with access control and badge verification to support a secure atmosphere. Pay Rate: $17.40 / Hour

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as directed by Allied Universal.
  • Screen individuals entering the location by verifying identification, credentials, and/or authorization as required by site policies.
  • Monitor access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and report any suspicious activity following established protocols.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating as appropriate.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of all screening activities, incidents, and interactions as required by Allied Universal and client site protocols.
  • Communicate professionally with visitors, employees, and/or contractors to provide guidance on site procedures and policies.
  • Collaborate with Allied Universal team members and site personnel to maintain a secure environment in a technology, media, or telecommunications setting.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • CPR and/or first aid certification is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
