Job Overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic Game Master to join our team. This is a year round part time position, not a summer position, that requires Saturdays. The Game Master will be responsible for creating an engaging an immersive experience for participants in our interactive gaming environment. This role requires a blend of creativity, public speaking skills, and the ability to manage various aspects of game events. The ideal candidate will have a passion for storytelling and a knack for customer service, ensuring that every guest has a memorable experience.

Duties

  • Facilitate and oversee game sessions, ensuring all participants understand the rules and objectives.
  • Create an engaging atmosphere by narrating stories, guiding players through challenges, and maintaining the flow of the game.
  • Manage conflicts that may arise during gameplay, providing solutions to ensure a positive experience for all participants.
  • Coordinate with team members to set up events, including arranging equipment and preparing game materials.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing guest inquiries and ensuring their needs are met throughout their experience.
  • Maintain a safe environment by adhering to all safety protocols and guidelines.
  • Assist in cash handling processes during events as needed.

Requirements

  • Strong public speaking skills with the ability to engage an audience effectively.
  • Experience in theater or events management is highly desirable.
  • Proven conflict management skills to handle various situations that may arise during gameplay.
  • Background in customer service or hospitality is preferred, especially in resort or guest services settings.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required by event schedules.
  • A passion for gaming and interactive experiences is essential.
  • Saturdays are a must, no exceptions.
  • This is not a summer position. Our busiest time is in the fall and winter months but we have extended hours over summer break.
