Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head Chef to lead our culinary team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive culinary expertise, and a passion for innovative food presentation. This role involves overseeing all kitchen operations, managing staff, and ensuring the highest standards of food quality, safety, and service are maintained. The Head Chef will play a vital role in menu development, inventory control, and maintaining a cohesive team environment dedicated to excellence in fine dining and catering services.

Duties

  • Lead and supervise the kitchen staff, including cooks, sous chefs, and kitchen assistants, ensuring smooth daily operations
  • Develop and plan innovative menus that align with restaurant branding and customer preferences
  • Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure consistency and high quality standards
  • Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies, managing food stock levels, and minimizing waste
  • Ensure compliance with all food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness standards throughout the kitchen
  • Coordinate catering events and banquet services, ensuring timely delivery and exceptional service
  • Oversee kitchen shift management, scheduling staff shifts to meet operational needs
  • Collaborate with management on budget planning, cost control, and menu pricing strategies
  • Train new staff members on food handling procedures, safety protocols, and culinary techniques
  • Monitor customer feedback to continuously improve food quality and service standards

Skills

  • Extensive culinary experience with a strong background in fine dining and catering environments
  • Proven supervising experience with team management capabilities
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff members
  • Expertise in menu planning, food production, and kitchen management
  • Knowledge of inventory management, inventory control, and food handling procedures
  • Experience in banquet service, dietary department coordination, and food safety regulations
  • Excellent skills in food preparation, cooking techniques, and food presentation
  • Familiarity with restaurant management operations including shift management and food service management
  • Background in hospitality industry standards with a focus on customer satisfaction
  • Ability to oversee multiple responsibilities efficiently within a fast-paced environment

Pay: $35, $41,000.00 per year
