Job Type: Full-time

Position Overview: The Human Resources Administrative Assistant provides administrative and clerical support to the Finance Manager, assisting with the daily functions of the HR Department. This includes maintaining employee records, updating HR databases, supporting payroll preparation, benefits administration, and assisting with onboarding and other HR-related projects.

Key Responsibilities:

(This list is not intended to detail all aspects of the assigned work but is representative of the job's overall responsibilities.)

  • Maintain accurate employee personnel files and HR records (electronic and hard copy).
  • Update and track employee data, including new hires, separations, leave balances, and other personnel changes.
  • Assist in payroll preparation by compiling and submitting relevant information such as timecards, absences, and leaves.
  • Support administration of company benefits programs, including health insurance and COBRA.
  • Prepare and process HR- related documents, correspondence, and reports.
  • Provide general HR assistance to employees by responding to inquiries and requests for information.
  • Coordinate HR meetings, training sessions, and internal communications.
  • Manage and maintain the department's time clock system and address related issues and inquiries.
  • Assist with onboarding of new employees and coordinate orientation materials.
  • Support the Finance Manager with additional projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in an administrative role.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience using QuickBooks.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in benefits administration, including onboarding employees and managing health insurance and COBRA processes.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
