Overview:

Electric Boat Information Technology (EB IT) is responsible for Electric Boat's enterprise and special use information systems, such as product design environments, collaboration platforms, and office productivity suites. EB IT supports over 20,000 end-users in a wide variety of work environments, networks and locations. Electric Boat Information Technology is pursuing an Infrastructure Support Analyst to support a multi-year strategy to modernize the company's IT infrastructure within a robust cybersecurity environment.

Candidates can expect to perform project oversight activities as well as system administration work. Candidates will have opportunities to work with Windows, RedHat Linux as well as various cloud IaaS teams. Candidates will need to be familiar with Microsoft products, various COTS licensing platforms, Active Directory and Cybersecurity controls. A successful candidate will work with a joint team of EB IT, Cybersecurity, and Customer Support Center personnel to implement, monitor, and improve Electric Boat's IT systems.

Position Summary:

An EB IT Infrastructure Support Analyst will apply IT knowledge and expertise in a demanding fast-paced construction environment, including but not limited to the following areas:

  • Ability to translate NIST and Risk Management Framework (RMF) security to actionable items
  • Installing and configuring new software and hardware
  • Support a wide variety of IT infrastructure projects and operations activities
  • Support security audits and vulnerability assessments
  • Key server vulnerability mitigation SME for Windows Server and ESX Hosts
  • Monitoring system performance and making recommendations for improvements
  • Responding to user and management inquiries and resolving technical issues associated with special purpose systems
  • Development of Group Policies
  • Power shell script development

Qualifications:

Required:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Comp TIA A+ or Comp TIA Security + certifications
  • Active DoD Secret Security clearance is required
  • 5+ years of IT engineering and operations experience

Preferred:

  • Understanding of Tenable and QRadar product support
  • Development of Microsoft Windows Group Policies
  • Power shell script Development
  • VMWare Certified Professional – Data Center Virtualization vSphere 8.x
  • Experience with Electric Boat's Classified change management process

Skills:

  • Detailed understanding of VMWare product deployment
