General Function

The Data Analyst – Operations (Plan Setup) will be a key member of the Business Configuration Team, responsible for the structure and benefit plan setup for EyeMed's Managed Vision Care clients. This role requires strong analytical capabilities, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally. The analyst will also serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for product configuration in the Facets system, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance across configuration processes.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

  • Configure all types of managed vision care products using both the Product Key Sheet method and manual configuration tools.
  • Ensure product configuration accuracy and consistency across manual and automated product creation.
  • Write and execute SQL queries to extract and analyze data, troubleshoot issues, and perform root-cause analysis for configuration discrepancies.
  • Independently resolve product configuration inquiries and issues raised to the Business Configuration Production Team.
  • Maintain collaborative relationships with Implementation Managers, Account Managers, and cross-functional partners to drive results.
  • Self-manage and prioritize work queues, ensuring completion within defined quality and turnaround time service levels.
  • Participate in cross-functional initiatives for issue resolution, process improvement, and system enhancements.
  • Recommend enhancements to tools, systems, and workflows to improve accuracy and efficiency.
  • Support management in training, mentoring, and special projects, acting as a subject matter expert for configuration processes.

Basic Qualifications

  • Associate degree or equivalent experience required.
  • 5+ years of experience working within a core claims administration system.
  • 2+ years of experience writing SQL queries and exporting data into Excel for analysis.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data validation skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities independently and within a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in Healthcare Operations.
  • Knowledge of claim adjudication processes for member and provider reimbursements.
  • Experience with Facets modules (Claims, Provider, Network, Product Benefit Configuration).
  • Familiarity with Medicare and Medicaid program structures.
