Overview

We are seeking a skilled Heating & Air Conditioning Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC/R systems, with expertise in installation, maintenance, and repair of air conditioning units. This role requires mechanical knowledge and the ability to work independently in various environments, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency of HVAC systems.

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair air conditioning/heating systems and related equipment.
  • Ability to braze with nitrogen and pump down systems
  • Diagnose issues with HVAC systems using schematics and technical manuals.
  • Perform routine maintenance on air conditioning units to ensure optimal operation.
  • Utilize tools such as ohmmeters, analog/digital gages, micron gage, voltmeter, welding equipment, etc. for repairs and installations.
  • Collaborate with other technicians on complex projects involving refrigeration and plumbing.
  • Conduct field service visits to troubleshoot and resolve customer issues promptly.
  • Maintain accurate records of service performed and parts used during repairs.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards during all work activities.

Requirements

· OSHA 10, EPA Certificate

· Personal Transportation to and from work required.

  • Proven experience as a service technician in the HVAC industry.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in equipment repair and maintenance.
  • Familiarity with HVAC design principles and ammonia refrigeration systems is a plus.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics for troubleshooting purposes.
  • Experience in construction or property maintenance is desirable.
  • Valid driver's license is required for travel to job sites.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential.

  • Vacuum Pump, Gages: analog or digital, Micron Gage, Hoses, Drill/Sawzall/skill saw, Voltmeter, Cordless drill, Screwdrivers, wrenches, Pliers, wire strippers, tape measurer, utility knife, headlamp, sheet metal sheers - suggested: kneepads, tool bag (General knowledge of materials and tools for scope of work requirements needed)

Base Pay: $ $40.00 per hour
