Venturi, LLC A Chenega Company has an exciting opportunity for an Operations Technician I who will support Missile Defense Agency missions on the Missile Defense Deployment and Sustainment Operations contract.  This individual will operate a wide range of vehicles and must have a current Commercial Driver's License (CDL).

Responsibilities
  • Perform extremely high-profile work for the Department of Defense. 
  • Provide technical support engineering for adjusting and operating equipment, recording test data, and identifying deviations resulting from equipment malfunction or observational errors.
  • Function independently to resolve problems.
  • Operate a wide range of wheeled vehicles.
  • Prepare shipping materials.
  • Operate test and diagnostic equipment.
  • Operate handling equipment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent GED.
    • 1+ years of relevant experience is preferred
  • Valid driver's license is required.  
  • Interim Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain a Secret clearance

Desired skill set includes:

  • Heavy equipment operations, general material handling, and warehousing with experience handling hazardous materials
  • Be computer literate (operate and update automated web-based data system) and competent in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Be physically able to lift boxes, packages, and equipment weighing up to 100 pounds using proper equipment and lifting techniques 
  • Personnel may be required to perform strenuous walking, pushing, and lifting tasks and may have to stand for extended periods
  • Personnel will be expected to demonstrate precise documentation skills.
  • Be willing to obtain a Commercial Driver's License (CDL).

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong background in the following areas is preferred:
  • General mechanical repairs
  • Experience in commercial and military type Material Handling Equipment is desired.
  • Ability to demonstrate maturity and technical strength in the respective area of expertise and adjust quickly to a complex and ever-evolving scope of work.
  • Mechanical aptitude and the ability to conscientiously follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Proper use of standard hand tools and material handling equipment.
  • Operation of heavy equipment, including trucks and forklifts for general material handling.
  • Ability to maintain a commercial driver's license.
  • Physically fit with full use of arms, legs, and back.
  • Ability to maintain required training and certifications.
  • Ability to travel 20-25% to CONUS and OCONUS locations.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
