We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our dynamic team in a vibrant restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring excellent guest services. This role requires strong communication skills, a passion for hospitality, and the ability to manage reservations efficiently.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide them with menus.
- Manage the seating chart and ensure that tables are filled efficiently while maintaining guest comfort.
- Answer phone calls with professionalism, assisting with reservations and inquiries.
- Utilize the Toast POS system to manage seating arrangements and track guest flow.
- Collaborate with waitstaff to ensure smooth service and address any guest needs promptly.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and dining area.
- Assist in managing guest relations by addressing any concerns or feedback effectively.
- Provide support during busy periods to enhance overall guest experience.
Requirements
- Previous experience in customer service or hospitality is preferred, particularly in a restaurant setting.
- Strong communication skills and phone etiquette to interact positively with guests.
- Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with POS systems, specifically Toast POS, is a plus but not required as training will be provided.
- A genuine desire to help others and provide exceptional guest services.
- Must have a flexible schedule to accommodate varying shifts, including evenings and weekends.
