Capgemini focuses on product quality, operational efficiency, and leadership, supporting the client's $30B+ sales channel and restaurant operations. The Restaurant Domain/POS Portfolio lead is responsible for all aspects of products built for clients. The POS is essential for commerce and restaurant operations, as well as a dependency for new digital features and initiatives, such as offers and loyalty programs.
Your roleTechnology Leadership
- Participate in planning and executing engineering strategies, product roadmaps, and deployment plans for feasibility and scalability
- Responsible for engineering team performance within Restaurant Tech/POS domain
- Provide engineering and support to maintain critical systems
- Serve as liaison between engineering teams and senior leadership
- Collaborate with client product leaders to ensure architectural consistency
- Advise on the application of technology to address business needs in the restaurant sector
Relationship Management
- Ensure timely and efficient delivery of POS features to global client markets
- Oversee documentation of product requirements and coordinate approval processes
- Maintain communication with senior client stakeholders in the restaurant domain
- Prepare presentations outlining the value provided by Capgemini teams
- Advise clients on POS modernization strategies
- Work with client product owners, architects, and tech leads to facilitate collaboration
Development Lifecycle Management
- Guide software delivery using DevOps practices, including CI/CD and test automation
- Manage projects throughout the systems development lifecycle, from requirement definition to system implementation
- Support development teams during design and build phases
- Responsible for code quality and testing across project phases (unit, component, integration, user acceptance)
- Assist with release and deployment planning
People Management
- Mentor and support professional growth of team members
- Coordinate with client and Capgemini staffing to meet resource needs
- Manage budget and financial forecasting for the POS portfolio
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- 7–10 years of experience supporting retail systems or IT consulting in retail environments
- Understanding of retail systems within complex, integrated contexts
- Knowledge of system design and architecture, including experience with complex systems and architectural patterns
- Proficient written and verbal communication skills for conveying product strategy and roadmaps to multiple audiences
- Excellent presentation skills
- Experience with prioritization, feature roadmapping, and backlog management
- Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams and promote professional growth
- Experience working in Agile environments with focus on continuous improvement
- Strong stakeholder engagement and ability to collaborate with both business and technical teams
- Experience with DevOps methodologie
- 20+ years – in IT Consulting industry with focus on managing client relationship, delivery supervision, team leading, contracts
Track record of managing 50+ million revenue portfolio - Expert experience in working with range of Client roles e.g. VP, Sr Director, Director, Sr Mgr
- Extensive IT Consulting industry experience. Expert level skills in Talent building, high financial acumen, pre-sales / solutioning
- Knowledge of Restaurant Technology domain e.g. Menu, Kiosk, POS
- Final accountability of planning, execution of Client's large initiatives in Restaurant Technology domain
- Lead, nurture, grow 600+ Technical, functional personnel team located in 4 countries
- Ability to leverage strengths from larger Capgemini ecosystem
