Garden Bros Circus is one of North America's largest and longest-running touring circuses, bringing high-energy entertainment to families across the country. Our mission is to deliver unforgettable experiences through world-class performers, attractions, and production.

We are seeking a motivated, results-driven Booking Agent to join our team and secure prime locations for our touring shows.

Position Overview

The Booking Agent is responsible for identifying, contacting, and securing properties for Garden Bros Circus events. This role involves prospecting suitable venues (fairgrounds, arenas, convention centers, large lots, etc.), negotiating contracts, and maintaining strong relationships with property owners, managers, and municipal contacts. The ideal candidate is an organized self-starter with strong communication skills and experience in sales, real estate, or event booking.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify potential properties across assigned regions that meet the operational requirements for Garden Bros Circus events.
  • Initiate outreach to property owners, managers, municipalities, and venue representatives to pitch and present event opportunities.
  • Negotiate terms and secure signed contracts that meet operational, budget, and scheduling needs.
  • Conduct thorough research on property availability, zoning requirements, utilities, and local regulations.
  • Build and maintain a database of venues, contacts, and booking activity.
  • Manage the full booking cycle from initial prospecting to contract execution and handoff to operations.
  • Maintain strong professional relationships with partners to support recurring bookings.
  • Coordinate with internal departments (production, marketing, operations) to ensure site suitability and event success.
  • Track and report weekly booking progress and upcoming opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Experience in venue booking, real estate, property management, event sales, or related field preferred.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and hit booking targets.
  • Excellent research, organization, and follow-up skills.
  • Comfortable with cold outreach, lead generation, and relationship building.
  • Familiarity with contracts and basic legal/lease terminology (preferred but not required).

Requirements

  • Proven experience in social media management, social media marketing, or related fields
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to close deals effectively
  • Experience in event management preferred
  • Knowledge of contracts, marketing strategies, sales techniques, and recruiting processes
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for building professional relationships
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Prior experience in entertainment industry is a plus

Pay: $ $30.00 per hour
