Medical Assistant- Vascular Surgery

Our outpatient vascular surgery practice in Santa Barbara is seeking a reliable and professional Medical Assistant to join our team full-time. The ideal candidate is organized, bilingual, and experienced in providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced specialty setting.

Responsibilities

  • Room patients and prepare them for exams
  • Obtain and document vital signs, medical history, and current medications
  • Perform light wound care and dressing changes as directed
  • Obtain insurance authorizations and referrals for procedures and imaging
  • Maintain clean and well-stocked exam rooms and clinical supplies
  • Support patient scheduling, charting, and communication in the electronic medical record (EMR)
  • Provide excellent patient service and assist with front or back office tasks as needed

Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of experience in an outpatient or surgical specialty setting preferred
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish required
  • Certification as a Medical Assistant not required
  • Experience with insurance authorizations and EMR systems preferred
  • Excellent communication, organization, and attention to detail
  • Dependable, professional, and team-oriented

Schedule

  • Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
  • No weekends or evenings

  • Starting pay: $25–$28 per hour, depending on experience
