The Center for Translational Antiviral Research is recruiting a Research Technician III.

The essential duties and responsibilities of the Research Technician III are the following: 

· This position's research program is focused on the discovery of novel antiviral therapeutics and the assessment of their therapeutic activity in different animal models of viral infection. 

· Independently monitor different species of animals, assess clinical signs, and document health status.

· Perform non-surgical procedures including oral gavaging, injections, lavaging, and post-mortem necropsy.

· Animal species covered are ferrets, roborovski dwarf hamsters, Syrian golden hamsters, and mice.

· Prepare animal procedures, and clean up procedure rooms after completion of procedures.

· Prepare written study reports.

Minimum Hiring Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and three years of research experience; or High school diploma and seven years of research experience; or a combination of education and related experience.
