In this energized role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a wide range of HVAC systems and related mechanical equipment. Your mechanical knowledge and field service experience will directly impact the comfort and safety of our clients' properties. Duties
- Install, service, and repair HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration units (including ammonia refrigeration), and ventilation equipment.
- Interpret schematics, blueprints, and HVAC design plans to ensure precise system setup and maintenance.
- Conduct routine maintenance on HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning / Refrigeration) systems to optimize performance and extend equipment lifespan.
- Diagnose issues using tools such as ohmmeters and other diagnostic equipment; perform electrical testing and troubleshooting.
- Perform plumbing tasks related to HVAC systems, including pipe fitting and leak repairs to ensure system integrity.
- Repair mechanical components such as motors, pumps, welders, and other equipment essential for HVAC operation.
- Maintain detailed service records, complete shift reports, and document repairs for compliance and future reference.
- Operate a driver vehicle safely to transport tools or equipment to various job sites.
- Assist in property maintenance tasks related to HVAC systems to ensure safety standards are met across multiple facilities.
Skills
- Extensive construction knowledge with the ability to interpret schematics and HVAC design plans accurately.
- Proven service technician experience with hands-on work in HVAC/R systems; familiarity with appliance repair is a plus.
- Strong mechanical knowledge encompassing refrigeration systems, boilers, plumbing, welding, and general equipment repair.
- Experience working in field service environments with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues efficiently.
- Knowledge of ammonia refrigeration systems and HVAC/R safety protocols is highly desirable.
- Ability to operate diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters effectively for electrical troubleshooting.
- Mechanical experience with welding techniques necessary for certain repairs or installations.
- Familiarity with property maintenance procedures related to HVAC systems to support building safety standards.
