ROLE SUMMARY:

This Houston-based position is a strategic sales leader responsible for driving brand growth and market penetration in the Greater Houston market. The South Texas-Houston Regional Manager will drive sales execution across both on- and off-premise accounts by strategically building strong relationships, securing new placements, and enhancing the brand's presence. 

This position will collaborate with distributors to align on sales strategies, manage trade programs, and execute marketing initiatives. This role requires a hands-on approach, including the execution of retail sampling events and on-premise training, while optimizing resources and fostering key relationships to accelerate brand growth. 

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Build Market Presence:

Cultivate and strengthen long-term relationships with key accounts to deliver sustained growth and deeper market penetration.
- Leverage Market Insights:

Analyze local dynamics and trends to uncover whitespace opportunities and inform forward-looking strategy.
- Influence the Market:

Build and sustain mutually beneficial relationships with distributors, retailers, and influencers to accelerate brand growth.
- Manage Trade Programs:

Oversee incentive initiatives with a focus on efficiency, accountability, and measurable ROI.
- Drive Sales Execution:

Strategically plan and conduct impactful sales calls, meetings, and account visits across on- and off-premise accounts, ensuring alignment with brand and commercial objectives. Allocate approximately
75% of efforts to on-premise

(bars, restaurants, events) and
25% to off-premise

(retail, chains, independents) to maximize territory impact.
- Expand Distribution & Visibility:

Secure new placements and elevate in-store presence through effective display execution and retail programming.
- Retail Sampling:

Plan and execute monthly retail sampling events to drive consumer trial, awareness, and conversion, based on KPIs determined by the Director of Sales. Ensure proper follow-up and tracking of results.
- On-Premise Engagement:

Manage the balance of time needed to sample, educate, and train on-premise accounts, ensuring strong brand advocacy at the trade level.
- Collaborate with Distributors:

Work closely with wholesale partners to align on sales strategies, manage programming, and execute marketing/commercial initiatives seamlessly.
- Lead Trade Engagement:

Partner with distributor teams to coordinate product education, tastings, consumer promotions, and market work-withs.
- Serve as a Brand Ambassador:

Represent the brand with professionalism, authenticity, and passion in all trade interactions.
- Champion Brand Standards:

Uphold brand identity and consistency across retail environments, events, and activations.
- Activate Consumer Engagement:

Plan and execute promotions and brand activations to drive awareness, trial, and advocacy.
- Optimize Resources:

Maximize impact by strategically managing budgets, tools, and available resources.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • At least 5 years of business/sales experience in the CPG industry
  • BA/BS preferred
  • A general understanding of Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission rules and regulations
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Experience working with key chain and independent accounts in the market area
  • Ability to work independently
  • Experience in identifying and executing events, festivals, tastings, and promotions
  • Ability to problem solve and an inner drive to succeed
  • A flexible schedule that will allow for working some nights and weekends
  • Proficiency in Microsoft and Google Suite products (Word, Excel, Docs, Sheets, Google Drive, Google Calendar), as well as an ability to learn other technology

TRAVEL:

This position will require frequent in-region travel in the Greater Houston area (Houston, Katy, Sugar Land, The Woodlands, Galveston, Conroe, Pearland, etc.) and periodic other Texas travel for company meetings and events (e.g. flagship festivals, annual TPSA convention, etc.).  Infrequent travel to support other Aguasol regions/markets may be required.
