Metrology Technicians in the Accuracy Control Department are responsible for critical ship and module alignments/measurements using a variety of 3-dimensional and standard optic tooling. These alignments /measurements are used to develop cut line, align and install ships components and pair major modules.
The job requires the technician to determine the proper tooling for the job, move the tooling to the job, complete the measurements outlined on configuration controlled data sheets, while working safely with a high degree of accuracy. The technician then turns the data over to Accuracy Control Representatives and works with them to confirm the solutions required.
