Job Summary
The InterDigital AI Lab in Silicon Valley is looking for motivated Ph.D. students for internships in
Wireless Systems Research
.

The AI Lab works on novel applications of AI and ML to improve video and wireless system performance
.
You will develop proof-of-concepts, prototypes and research ideas that tie machine learning and AI technologies with a broad range of signal processing and wireless technologies and will publish your work in leading conferences.

• End to end wireless testbed development and research based on open-source platforms.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. student in EE, Computer Engineering, Computer Science.
• Publications and R&D experience in one or more of the following areas: Wireless systems research, applied AI/ML in wireless, optimization algorithms.
• Proficiency in Python and strong programming/problem-solving skills.
• Strong background in wireless communication and/or signal processing is highly desired.

Desirable Qualifications

• Hands on experience with Software Defined Radios like Ettus B210, X310, etc., and Robot Operating System (ROS) running on devices like Rosbot, Turtlebot, etc.
• Experience with over-the-air video transmission through wireless networks, demonstrating a practical understanding of the challenges and optimizations needed in real-life scenarios.
