Overview

Duties

  • Develop, implement, and oversee clinical quality improvement programs aligned with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
  • Analyze clinical data using advanced tools such as SQL and databases to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for enhancement.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to design and refine health information systems utilizing system design principles and Epic software platforms.
  • Conduct comprehensive data collection and mining from electronic health records, managed care databases, and other sources to support clinical trials and research initiatives.
  • Monitor adherence to medical terminology standards and ensure accurate documentation across all clinical documentation systems.
  • Lead audits of clinical processes, perform analysis skills assessments, and generate detailed reports to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Support staff training on data management best practices, bioinformatics tools, and health information management protocols to elevate overall clinical quality standards.

Requirements

  • Proven experience working with Epic electronic health record systems or similar health information technology platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of managed care operations, clinical trials processes, and acute care environments.
  • Proficiency in data analysis skills including SQL, data mining techniques, and database management.
  • Familiarity with bioinformatics concepts, medical terminology, and health information management standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to design or improve system workflows using system design methodologies.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail in data collection and interpretation.
