Overview:

A luxury, accredited inpatient drug and alcohol rehabilitation center in Woodland Hills is seeking an experienced and dependable Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our clinical nursing team. The ideal candidate will have experience in withdrawal management, substance use disorder care, and Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) within a behavioral health or residential treatment environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Administer, monitor, and document all scheduled and PRN medications for clients in detox and stabilization.
  • Review, verify, and input physician orders accurately into the KIPU EMR system.
  • Conduct ongoing assessments, vitals, and withdrawal monitoring using established detox protocols.
  • Support MAT programs (Suboxone, Naltrexone, etc.) per physician directives.
  • Perform clinical documentation and chart audits to ensure TJC and DHCS compliance.
  • Collaborate with RNs, physicians, therapists, and behavioral health technicians to ensure high-quality, client-centered care.
  • Maintain accurate medication inventory and adhere to all controlled substance handling procedures.
  • Demonstrate professional communication with clients experiencing substance withdrawal, anxiety, or co-occurring disorders.
  • Work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary treatment team in a structured clinical environment.
  • Be punctual, reliable, and professional while maintaining compassion and boundaries with clients.

Requirements:

  • Active California LVN License in good standing.
  • Minimum 1 year of inpatient, behavioral health, or detox/withdrawal management experience (preferred).
  • Experience with KIPU EMR or similar electronic charting systems.
  • Familiarity with MAT, Substance Use Disorder (SUD) treatment, and clinical detoxification protocols.
  • Strong computer literacy, charting accuracy, and documentation compliance.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Must be dependable, punctual, and able to maintain a consistent schedule.
  • Professional demeanor and ability to manage crises or medical emergencies calmly.

Schedule:

  • Full-Time, hourly position
  • Various shifts available – days, evenings, and weekends
