We are seeking an energetic and dynamic Shop Manager to lead our retail store operations with enthusiasm and precision. Duties

  • Lead and supervise all store operations, including sales, customer service, inventory management, and staff scheduling to ensure smooth daily functioning.
  • Recruit, interview, hire, and train team members to build a motivated and skilled workforce dedicated to excellence.
  • Manage payroll processing, bookkeeping, cash handling, and POS (Point of Sale) systems to maintain financial accuracy and accountability.
  • Oversee inventory control, purchasing, pricing strategies, and merchandising efforts to maximize sales opportunities.
  • Develop and implement marketing initiatives and promotional activities to attract new customers and retain existing ones.
  • Conduct employee orientation sessions, ongoing training & development programs, and performance evaluations to foster growth.
  • Maintain excellent communication with staff and customers through phone etiquette, organizational skills, and effective leadership.
  • Monitor store budgets, sales targets, and retail math metrics to ensure profitability while adhering to company policies.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, store policies, and legal regulations at all times.

Experience

  • Proven management experience in retail environments or grocery stores with a focus on team supervision and store operations.
  • Demonstrated success in recruiting, interviewing, onboarding new employees, and managing payroll processes.
  • Strong background in inventory management, stock control, merchandising, and retail math principles.
  • Experience with POS systems, cash handling procedures, pricing strategies, and sales management techniques.
  • Excellent communication skills in multiple languages or bilingual capabilities are highly desirable for diverse customer engagement.
  • Prior assistant manager or supervisory roles that involved shift management and customer service excellence are preferred.
  • Familiarity with marketing initiatives within retail settings along with organizational skills for administrative tasks such as bookkeeping and budgeting.
  • Ability to lead teams effectively through training & development programs while maintaining high standards of store presentation and customer satisfaction.
