Senior Data Engineer

Position Overview
The Senior Data Engineer plays a critical role in designing, building, and optimizing data pipelines that drive comprehensive reporting, analytics, and operational insights across the enterprise.

This position emphasizes both MS SQL and Azure Data Factory processes to ensure data is captured, transformed, and delivered at scale.

Beyond hands-on engineering, the Data Engineer will provide leadership and best-practices while partnering with internal resources and business stakeholders to ensure data solutions are robust, reliable, and aligned with organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and implementation of scalable data pipelines using both MS SQL, Azure Data Factory, and various ETL frameworks.
  • Transform raw data into curated datasets optimized for analytics and reporting.
  • Build reusable workflows to support both batch and near-real-time processing.
  • Design and promote cloud-based solutions leveraging Azure to enable advanced reporting and data exploration.
  • Ensure consistency and accuracy of data across reporting platforms including Power BI.
  • Establish, train, and enforce standards for data quality, normalization, and lineage.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot pipeline performance, ensuring high availability and minimal downtime.
  • Evaluate system changes, test new software, and recommend strategic improvements.
  • Provide technical troubleshooting, performance tuning, and debugging for complex ETL and data warehousing issues.
