Job Overview

Are you passionate about social media, digital storytelling, and growing brands online? StayLockt is looking for a Social Media Marketing Intern to help build and scale our presence across platforms like TikTok, Instagram, and LinkedIn.

This is a paid, hands-on internship ideal for someone who wants real experience creating content, testing growth strategies, and driving actual user signups—not just posting for likes. You'll work closely with the founder and gain exposure to early-stage startup marketing, creator partnerships, and performance-based growth.

Responsibilities

  • Create and post engaging content across StayLockt's social media channels (TikTok, Instagram Reels, LinkedIn)
  • Assist with short-form video creation, editing, and reposting (UGC-style content)
  • Help plan and execute social media content calendars
  • Monitor engagement, comments, and messages to support community growth
  • Track content performance (views, engagement, clicks, signups)
  • Support referral and creator campaigns using custom referral codes
  • Collaborate on social media growth experiments and campaign ideas
  • Stay up to date with trends in student life, education, and short-form content

Compensation & Incentives

This is a paid internship with performance-based incentives:

  • $15 per referred paying user

(Referral qualifies after the user converts to paid and remains subscribed for 14 days)

  • $1 per 1,000 organic views on content posted to StayLockt social accounts
  • Payments made via Venmo or PayPal
  • Uncapped earning potential during this early stage

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a program in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Strong interest in social media marketing and content creation
  • Familiarity with platforms like TikTok, Instagram, and LinkedIn
  • Comfortable creating or editing short-form video content (CapCut, Adobe tools, or similar)
  • Strong written communication skills
  • Creative mindset with attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks

Experience with analytics tools, social media schedulers, or graphic design software is a plus but not required.
