Dermatology Specialists is recruiting for an experienced Medical Assistant to join our Boulder location which is located at 2880 Folsom St Ste. 200 Boulder, CO This position would also travel to our other 4 locations as the schedule needs which are located in Brighton, Louisville, Loveland and Northglenn. Travel to Loveland would be rare but possible. This position would be full-time at 5 days per week, Monday-Friday.

Responsibilities include assisting providers in the treatment of patients in medical, surgical and cosmetic procedures and all associated patient care as well as scribing in the patient's chart. Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, be a great team player and passionate about patient care and finding purpose in your work. Must have the greatest respect for colleagues, co-workers and patients. Must have a high level of proficiency at Windows based computer programs and Electronic Medical Records.

Essential Functions:

  • Assist providers in rooming, scribing, and treating patients.
  • Assist in cosmetic treatments as needed, such as injectable products, Dysport, lesion removal, etc.
  • Provide patient care by greeting patients, escort them to and from treatment rooms, conduct preliminary intake screening, take photographs, chart patient's visit in database.
  • Provide patients with information on pre-op and post-op care.
  • Remain current on all aspects of dermatology and skin care.
  • Clean treatment rooms, in compliance with procedures set forth by the practice.

Education:

  • High School graduation or GED.
  • Certificate through a credible MA school or equivalent experience is required.

Skills/Experience:

  • Certification as Medical Assistant is a plus
  • Mod Med (EMA) experience is a plus
  • Word processing and computer experience
  • Experience in dermatology or surgery a plus
  • Experience in scribing a plus
  • Medical terminology and spelling proficiency
  • Must be organized and detail-oriented
  • Ability to work independently and as a team

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $ $26.00 per hour
