Position Responsibilities

  • Perform routine custodial duties, including dusting, mopping, vacuuming, cleaning restrooms, breakrooms, and restocking materials.

  • Report maintenance needs and safety concerns to appropriate staff and the manager.

  • Submit and complete work orders related to custodial duties, ensuring prompt resolution.

  • Safeguard the operation and maintenance of equipment and supplies, fostering workplace safety and environmental practices.

  • Coordinate with vendors, providing access for cleaning services and addressing basic inquiries.

  • Assist with minor maintenance repairs such as replacing light bulbs, soap dispensers, and painting.

  • Identify and report safety hazards to the manager for prompt resolution.

  • Effectively communicate and convey information in person, via radio, email, and voicemail.

  • Participate in Purchase Ordering for custodial materials and supplies.

  • Take responsibility for the site's 6S program and collaborate with various departments to ensure the practice of 6S principles.

 

Skills & Experience Requirements

  • 5+ years' proven experience in custodial and facilities maintenance.

  • Basic Computer Skills (typing, printing, emailing)

  • Ability to use PC software such as MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

  • Knowledge of different cleaning products and tools

  • Knowledge of safety protocols and environmental best practices.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Strong communication and organizational skills.

  • Proficiency in basic maintenance tasks.

  • Basic English skills (reading, writing, listening, speaking), including ability to read documents and warning labels in English

  • Ability to comprehend technical and safety documentation and follow oral and written instructions

  • Basic skill to evaluate, troubleshoot inquiries, establish priorities, follow plans, and complete goals/objectives
