Under the guidance of our Recreation Coordinator, you'll help bring our summer recreation program to life-leading games, activities, and special events that encourage fun, confidence, teamwork, and personal growth for the youth in our care. You'll gain hands-on leadership experience while working alongside a supportive, mission-driven team.

 
What You'll Do

  • Supervise and engage youth participating in the summer recreation program

  • Actively lead games, group activities, and recreational events

  • Model and teach appropriate social skills and positive behaviors

  • Explain expectations clearly and help youth understand choices and consequences

  • Create a positive, inclusive environment through encouragement, role modeling, and hands-on participation

  • Provide constructive feedback to support skill-building and personal growth

  • Reinforce positive behavior with praise and incentives; apply appropriate consequences when needed

  • Utilize the Mooseheart Model of Care in daily interactions

  • Maintain confidentiality of youth, staff, and organizational information

Work Environment
