Los Angeles, California, United States Rokt Full time

We are Rokt, a hyper-growth ecommerce leader.

Rokt is the global leader in ecommerce, unlocking real-time relevance in the moment that matters most. Rokt's AI Brain and ecommerce Network powers billions of transactions connecting hundreds of millions of customers and is trusted to do this by the world's leading companies.

We are a team of builders helping smart businesses find innovative ways to meet customer needs and generate incremental revenue. Leading companies drive 10-50% of additional revenue—and often all their profits—from the extra products or services they sell. This economic edge unleashes a world of possibilities for growth and innovation.

The Rokt engineering team builds best-in-class ecommerce technology that provides personalized and relevant experiences for customers globally and empowers marketers with sophisticated, AI-driven tooling to understand consumers better. Our bespoke platform handles millions of transactions per day. It considers billions of data points which give engineers the opportunity to build technology at scale, collaborate across teams and gain exposure to a wide range of technology.

We are looking for a Build & Release Infrastructure Engineer

Target total compensation ranges from $150,00-$245,000, including a fixed annual salary of $130,000 - $170,000, an employee equity plan grant, and world-class benefits.

Equity grants are issued in good faith and are subject to company policies, board approval, and individual eligibility.

As a Build & Release Infrastructure Engineer, you'll be a hands-on contributor within Rokt's core platform engineering team. You'll collaborate closely with senior engineers to evolve and maintain our build and release systems, ensuring our CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code workflows, and artifact management processes are reliable, secure, and lightning-fast.

This role is ideal for an engineer with solid DevOps or infrastructure experience who's eager to deepen their skills across CI/CD, automation, and cloud-native technologies while contributing to systems that support global-scale applications.

What You'll Do
  • Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines (Buildkite or equivalent) to ensure efficient, reliable build and deployment workflows.
  • Support and evolve container build pipelines using Docker/ECR, Helm charts, and Kubernetes-based release processes.
  • Contribute to infrastructure automation via Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) best practices.
  • Enhance our artifact management ecosystem (e.g., Nexus), ensuring secure and performant package delivery.
  • Collaborate with engineers across teams to streamline developer experience, improve reliability, and optimize release velocity.
  • Participate in incident response and troubleshooting to maintain high system availability.
  • Partner with senior engineers to implement new tooling, processes, and standards that scale with Rokt's growth.

Requirements

About You:

You meet at least 4 of the skillsets below:

  • 2+ years of experience in DevOps, Build & Release, or Platform Engineering.
  • Proficiency with CI/CD tools such as Buildkite, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or equivalent.
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm for containerization and deployment.
  • Familiarity with Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code tools.
  • Solid scripting skills in Bash, Python, or similar languages.
  • Working knowledge of Linux systems and cloud environments (AWS preferred).
  • Curiosity, ownership, and a drive to automate everything.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills—you enjoy solving problems as part of a team.
